HSCBA will be holding a fundraising event in conjunction with Pizza Hut inHoltsSummit on October 4, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Pizza Hut is donatingaportion of receipts during these hours to the HSCBA. The proceeds fromtheevent will go toward a community sign that will welcome people to HoltsSummit and list community events. We envision the sign as both aneconomicdevelopment tool and to foster the sense of community thatHSCBA hasdevoted itself to through its events and other work.  The signproject issomething we have been working on for some time and estimate itwill take usseveral more years to raise enough funds to purchase the sign,finalize alocation and meet all requirements. We hope you will join us.

Saturday, October 9:     Holts Summit Harvest Festival in Greenway Park 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Candidate Forum -- HSCBA, in conjunction with the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce and the Fulton Area Development Corporation, will hold a candidate forum on Tuesday evening, October 26, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mid America Bank in Holts Summit.  The Forum will focus on these five Callaway County races:  Presiding County Commissioner, County Clerk, Recorder of Deeds, Circuit Court Clerk and County Prosecutor. 

  NOTE:  The Holts Summit Community Betterment Association (HSCBA), does NOT endorse candidates for any office. We do co-sponsor candidate forums where candidates have an opportunity equal to their opponents to express their ideas.  We are dedicated to presenting information to the community.  We also urge you to seek out additional information from reliable sources.  We do take political advertising, at the same rates and with the same guidelines as other advertising except that, by law, candidates seeking political advertising must disclose who pays for their advertisements.
